Russian Fashion Advertising Model E-6-1 (Art and Entertainment) Issuance Procedure and documents

Updated: Mar 1

Recently, an agency looking to hire a Russian model contacted me for assistance with the E6 visa issuance recognition (invitation) process. Today, we will explore the issuance procedure and the documents required (for preparation) for the E6-1 (Art and Entertainment) visa. Let's first understand the target group for the E-6-1 visa.

E-6-1 (Art · Entertainment) Target

◆ Individuals engaged in profit-making activities in music, art, literature, etc., and those involved in professional broadcasting acting and specialized entertainment activities as defined by the Performance Law

(composers, painters, photographers, and other artists, orchestra performers, conductors, advertising and fashion models, professional Go players, broadcasters, entertainers, theater actors, makeup artists, etc.)

E-6-1 (Art · Entertainment) Issuance Procedure

First, the company applying for the E-6-1 visa must be registered as a popular culture and arts planning business. If not registered, they must first register with the local government authority and then prepare an employment contract (exclusive contract) with the invitee. They must obtain an employment recommendation letter or a performance recommendation letter from the respective ministries.

※ For advertising fashion models, the responsible ministry is the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The company can then apply for the E6 visa issuance recognition (invitation) at the immigration office under its jurisdiction.
