Required Documents for D8 Visa Issuance Confirmation Application

Updated: Jan 23

Today, I will post about the visa issuance confirmation application that I applied for a few days ago at the Suwon Immigration Office.

The company I manage visas for, and which I continuously consult, is located in Suwon. They import trucks and buses from Germany, distribute them in Korea, and also repair vehicles of their subsidiaries domestically.

When the Ministry of Environment raised a certain issue about emission standards to the company, they immediately responded that they would recall all relevant vehicles for review.

In this process, they invited one of their employees from the head office to Korea on a D-8 visa.

In relation to this matter, I have already invited 15 employees to Korea on D-8 visas,

and all were approved without any problems.

Principally, a D-8 visa can be invited one person per one hundred million KRW of capital after the initial establishment of a corporation.

And when inviting, there should never be any domestic arrears.

The parent company only has several hundred million KRW of domestic capital on paper, but the annual sales reach several tens of billions of KRW and the annual tax payment also reaches several billions of KRW.

In this case, they can invite one person on a D-8 visa per one billion KRW of sales, and they can also invite one person on a D-8 visa per one hundred million KRW of tax payment.

I carefully checked all the documents related to the visa issuance confirmation application and submitted them to the Immigration Office. The application was successfully completed without any requests for supplementation.

I also had a conversation with the immigration officer in charge of visa affairs about the part related to sales and tax payment records. If the company needs additional manpower in the future related to this part, it seems that more people can be additionally invited upon review of the documents. Let's take a look at the required documents for the D8 visa issuance confirmation application.
