E7 Visa Workplace Change Declaration/Permission

Post-Declaration Required for

- Specific Activities (E-7), excluding the above-mentioned occupations


➠ Transition to Post-Declaration System

In order to enhance the utilization of professionals and strengthen national competitiveness, the system has been improved to allow changes and additions to workplaces for professionals through post-declaration only, instead of the previous pre-approval system.

※ For Kitchen Staff and Cooks, working hours at locations other than the original workplace cannot exceed one-third of the working hours at the original workplace.

Qualification Criteria for Workplace Change Declaration/Permission

- Individuals holding qualifications for specific activities (E-7), excluding 14 occupations such as Sales Office Workers, who are registered as foreigners and have residence status, and possess the necessary qualifications to work at the new or additional workplace.

※ Individuals who have not obtained consent for workplace change from their original employers due to reasons attributable to themselves are excluded, even if they meet the qualification criteria.

Declaration Procedure

- Obligated declarants (foreigners) must submit a declaration to the Immigration Office (Immigration Office or Branch Office) within 15 days from the occurrence date of the declaration reason.

​※ A sticker or seal indicating workplace change or addition must be attached or stamped on the passport or declaration form, making in-person declaration the principle.

※ Note that if individuals have been fired or resigned prematurely due to their own fault and do not obtain consent from their original employer, they are excluded from the application scope (eligible for workplace change permission or certificate issuance recognition application).

2. Recommendation Letter from Competent Ministry or Document Proving the Necessity of Employment

3. Employment Contract

4. Consent Form from Original Workplace*

6. Business Registration Certificate

7. Documents that can assess the qualifications of the newly employed company


※ Reasons and Identity Guarantee Certificates are generally omitted from submission.

* The consent form from the original workplace is exempt from submission if the contract period has expired or if both parties have agreed on a date for the termination of work. In cases where the original workplace is closed or has issues with unpaid wages, substitute documents or reason documents are acceptable.
