E-6-3 (Sports)
◆ Professional athletes such as football, baseball, basketball, etc., and those who work in the field of sports, such as their accompanying managers

Documents necessary for issuing E6 visa
First, the inviting company intending to invite foreigners with an E-6 visa must confirm the relevant department related to the activity and prepare various documents to necessarily obtain an employment recommendation letter or performance recommendation letter from the department. The fact that a recommendation letter needs to be issued to apply doesn't mean the issued recommendation letter guarantees the issuance of the E-6 visa.
Also, the department issuing the recommendation letter is different for each activity, and in addition to the recommendation letter, if you intend to perform or engage in entertainment activities at hotel facilities and entertainment establishments under the Tourism Promotion Act, a performance plan, entertainment activity plan, certificate of qualification or certificate of experience, etc., are additionally required.

For Advertising Models - Preferential Examination Criteria
1. Inviting Company

- Corporate business operator

- Sales performance of at least 500 million KRW in the past 3 years
- Employment of at least 5 Korean full-time workers in the past 3 months
- More than 5 years of experience in the same industry (or more than 5 years of experience in the same industry by the CEO)
- The business registration certificate should not have any unrelated industries such as wholesale and retail, and only related industries such as management, entertainment, model agency, etc. should be listed
- No default on tax payments
2. Foreigners

Change of Residence Status
◆ Limited permission is granted in cases corresponding to detailed qualifications E-6-1 and E-6-3.
▶ For internationally renowned professionals in art and sports, changes are allowed after obtaining headquarters approval.
▶ Permit duration: The employment contract term + 1 month from the date of change, up to a maximum of 2 years.
1. Changing from student visa (D-2), job-seeking visa (D-10) to arts and entertainment (E-6) status
A. Qualifications (You must meet all the following requirements ①, ②, ③)
① An individual legally staying in possession of job-seeking (D-10) status or student visa (D-2) status
② The field you want to work in should correspond to professor (E-1), language instruction (E-2), research (E-3), technical instruction (E-4), professional job (E-5), arts and entertainment (E-6), or special activity (E-7) residence status, and you must meet the respective qualifications
③ You must have an employment contract with the representative of the institution or organization you want to work at
※ A holder of a student visa (D-2) is a prospective graduate who qualifies to change to a job-seeking visa (D-10). A. If there are unavoidable reasons or if necessary in the national interest, change of status is permitted *
- For athletes, performers, dancers who entered the country to take a team test, etc., or participants in international competitions with prize money, the head of the office may exercise discretion to grant permission to change the status of residence (the base date for the duration of stay is not the date of change of status but the date of entry)
- If it is difficult for the head of the office to judge, approval from headquarters is required, and activities corresponding to the arts and entertainment (E-6-2) sector are prohibited from changing the status of residence.
3. Changing to arts and entertainment (E-6) status for those staying long-term under a general residence status who want to stop their current residence status activities and engage in short-term broadcasting appearances or modeling activities before returning to their home country.

4. Changing from visa exemption (B-1) status to long-term residence status for Germans

Re-entry Permit
1. Exemption from re-entry permit
